Short CV:
Katharina Rennhak studied English and German at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and NUI Maynooth, Ireland. From 1997 to 2009 she taught English Literature at the LMU where she also received her Dr. phil. (2001) and completed her Habilitation (2007). In 2004 she was Visiting Assistant Professor in the English Department at the University of Texas at Austin. She has been professor of English Literature at the University of Wuppertal since 2009. Katharina Rennhak is president of the European Federation of Associations and Centres of Irish Studies (EFACIS). She is also a member of the IASIL Executive 2016-2025 (Representative Europe). In 2023 she received the Ambassador of Ireland – St. Patrick's Day Award.
